Unlock the new Amex Platinum UK benefits: Lululemon, Oura Ring and Calm credits

Three new perks just landed on the Amex Platinum UK, amex benefits new, all live until 19 October 2029. As always, none of them switch on by themselves, you’ll need to enrol for each one separately.

I’ll be honest at the outset. I’m not a huge fan of rewards that require spending to gain value.

It feels a bit like being nudged into spending rather than genuinely being rewarded.

If you already shop at lululemon, or you’ve considered an Oura Ring, these offers could work.

With amex benefits new in mind, here’s exactly how they work.

Just a reminder before we start: the lululemon and Oura credits are only available to the main cardholder, not supplementary cardholders.

If you don’t know the full list of Amex Platinum benefits yet, we’ve got a complete guide here.

Because this is a card benefit you have to enrol, and you can do this on the Amex app, go to memberships at the bottom and the benefits will be there.

lululemon: Up to £150 a Year Back

Twice a year, Amex will refund £75 when you spend £150 or more at lululemon.

Additionally, this applies in a UK store (outlets don’t count) or on lululemon.co.uk.

I normally buy lululemon at Bicester Village because the prices are better.

If you already shop online, this is a good one for you.

A few things worth knowing before you shop:

  • The two windows run January to June and July to December
  • You don’t need to hit £150 in one go, multiple purchases within the window add up
  • Vouchers and gift cards won’t count toward your total
  • Whatever you don’t use by the end of each window simply disappears, so it’s worth checking your progress with a few weeks to spare
  • Head to the Amex app to enrol to this benefit before you shop

Oura Ring: £150 Off, Once a Year

Buy directly from ouraring.com and spend at least £300 in one transaction, and £150 comes back to you as a statement credit.

Some fine print to keep in mind:

  • It has to be a single purchase, so stacking smaller orders won’t work
  • The allowance refreshes every 1 January
  • Your order needs UK delivery and payment in GBP, bought straight from Oura rather than a reseller
  • Like the other credits, this needs activating through the Amex app first

Calm Premium: Completely Free

I’m genuinely sceptical about this one.

However, I’m not entirely convinced meditation apps work the way they claim.

Calm Premium normally costs £49.99 a year, and with this card, it’s free.

For free, why not give it a try?

  • Unlike the other two, supplementary cardholders get access to this one too (yay), not just the main cardholder
  • Open the Amex Experiences app, find Calm, and select “Enrol Now”
  • Already paying for Calm? Log in through the Amex offer page to switch your existing account over at no extra cost

Worth Setting a Reminder

None of these benefits are hard to use, the only real risk is forgetting they exist. Given how often Amex perks go unclaimed simply because people don’t know to activate them, it’s worth putting a reminder in your calendar before each six-month window closes.
